Gotta admit that I'm getting a little nervous. Oh well, Mom lives in the same town and has Cox, so I may spend a fair amount of my time on Saturdays with Momma. She maintains a well-stocked liquor cabinet so I'm good either way.

Well good, then. I'm double glad I switched to DirecTV in March.
I told Mr. Dish about my sweat, my skin in their game and would they come anywhere close to what Direct was offering. And their best was $15 a month off for 6 months after 10 years of loyally paying my full price bill like a fricking clock.
Dish Network can kiss my Yankee arse.

Why should Dish Network discount anything?
They already offer the best value for the dollar PLUS they already have the SECN.

I got $35 off for 1 year, genie upgrade for free, and NFL Sunday ticket free. Showtime free for 3 mos, and $5 off of Hbo for 6 mos. I took it.

then i referred someone and now my monthly bill is $25 plus they are getting sec network

It's called The Free Market. Competition. The fricking American Way.
Or are you an Unamerican protectionist when it comes to competition and the free market?
The free market is why Americans workers have been forced to compete with 3rd world countries paying sub-human wages abroad. While also being forced to compete against the tidal wave of illegal aliens who have been waved in by both parties, unfettered, for other jobs in this country for the last 20+ years.
And Dish DIDN'T offer the best value for the dollar or I'd still be with them.
