Bingo. People who say that journalism is a dying profession have no clue what they're talking about

They see there being less newspapers and automatically think, "JOURNALISM IS DYING!" when it's actually growing and evolving into online media.

Journalism is dying. Writin' stuff that caters to your audience's prejudices is goin' on stronger than ever. We're running out of real journalists even as the ranks of bloggers, pundits, and hysterical conspiracy theorists swell.

All I ever hear from people regarding the news is how crappy journalists have become - now you're telling me it's Missouri's fault, cool.

I got my degree from the J School at Ole Miss with emphases in print and public relations. We're no Missouri, Northwestern or Columbia, but it's rising up the rankings quickly with the new funding and staff.

As a card-carrying member of the Mizzou Mafia, I just want to take this opportunity to say how much I appreciate and enjoy being better educated than the rest of you.

Because if we can't trust a ranking from some online magazine none of us have heard of, what can we trust in this cruel, cruel country? (Which by the way, is run by pinko liberals.)

If you respect it so little, why are every one of your posts filled with images from The Tuscaloosa News? (a former employer of mine)
