Damn, that must have been rough, given your Fla. roots

Spurs were out for blood this year, though. Glad they got it done.

Seems like it. Amazing how the ubiquitous Heat fans went **POOF** as the Finals wore on and after LeBron's announcement this offseason.

If we're talking Florida teams, gimme the Magic, tbh. Was rooting hard for them in '09 against the lakers.

Those are the best threads

Forrealdoe, I support a live Gator mascot. That'd be badass.

There is a lot of things UF could be doing to "up its game" but they have been very conservative with renovations and such. It seems like only something minor is done every 4 or 5 years. I've read that the way The Swamp is designed it could never hold 100,000. So I don't think that's ever gonna happen. The biggest I think BHG could go is 97,000 and the architects would have to get really creative. The big rumor from a friend of mine associated with UF said by 2020 we are gonna have a training facility that's gonna make Oregon and Tennessee's training facility blush. I will believe it when I see it though.

Cant wait to see what Kyle field looks like after the remodel. I was there in 2012 for our game and that place was rocking. Really nice people showed the wife and me around the campus.

Really? Hell, I always kind of assumed there were going to be some "top off" type renovations to put y'all over 100k. Not that that's a magic number or anything, I just didn't realize that about the way BHG was designed.

Never been there, but hope to go someday--perhaps in the distant future when TAMU pays y'all a return visit?

Glad y'all had a great time! And glad you were met with hospitality. Something we pride ourselves on and I'm glad that hasn't changed in the years I've been associated with A&M home games, for the most part.

There is some crazy arse reason that has to do with structural integrity. Something to do with an incline ratio. I read about it back in a newspaper back in 07. I have never seen anything about it online but I just figured it would of happened already. I rather see the money go into training facilities anyway and football only dorm rooms.

Huh. That's crazy. Always kinda liked BHG. We used y'all's stadium as the blueprint for Kyle Field's north end zone structure.

Good point. Once you top 90k it's kind of all the same, anyways.

The facilities are what will sustain a program long term, not just having a big house.

Thats cool I had no idea. If you ever go to BHG try and get a front row ticket. Only place ive ever been were I felt like I was right on top of the field. Had front row seats right behind Auburn's bench in 06 at Jordan Hare and couldn't see over the players standing up, Pretty much watched the whole game on the jumbotron, down on row 1, 50 yard line.

Keeping in tune with the thread, the War Eagle landing at midfield is the coolest SEC tradition I have ever seen in person.

Yeah, if you look at Kyle's Zone and then BHG's, literally the only difference is we shaved off the corners on the top left and right. Which I think looks stupid in comparison, but at least the new SEZ has corners

Oh man, I did that once at Kyle. My last game as a student. Couldn't see shite, but I enjoyed the frick out of myself. The sound of the roar of the crowd from ground level is intoxicating

Every time I see it on TV, I'm in awe. That's the main reason I want to make a trip to Jordan-Hare. Might go in 2016.

I remember that game. Holy shite that place exploded

And "Cock Block" may be one of the greatest end-of-game nicknames ever

For me, it was A&M vs. Nebraska in 2010. We won 9-6 in front of the largest crowd ever at Kyle Field. I camped out all night for front row tickets for my wife (then-girlfriend) and I, and my little brother was a freshman walk-on player that year. That was both of our last games as a student, and we got to storm the field afterwards (the only time that'd ever happened since I'd attended A&M).

Magical night, and loud as hell. Here's the final play from that game. An incomplete pass from Taylor Martinez that sent the place into even more of a frenzy than it had been all night.

Be careful your speakers aren't up too loud

Man that place got crunk. The Swamp has actually never been rushed before. I've heard the closest it ever came to happening was the 97 UF vs FSU game.

Tbird

Gotta hit the hay. I know I am gonna have a long arse day tomorrow.

Yeah, Ags rarely rush Kyle, either. Had a pseudo-rush back in '02 when we beat top-ranked OU at home, and then that one in 2010. I can't remember any others, but I'm sure I'll be corrected promptly

A few old Ags were upset with the field rush, but honestly I was too damn overjoyed to care.

Take it easy olemc
