I will always remember him the most for the spanking that UF gave FSU in the 1997 Sugar Bowl.
I remember Spurrier being so pissed off after the regular season loss in Tallahassee after FSU gave Wuerffel several cheap shots after the plays were over.
In a month, he installed the shotgun, and UF blasted FSU in title game.

His quotes.
"I always enjoyed playing them second. You could count on 4-5 of their starters to be out for suspension"

He should be remembered as the LSU coach but we had a traitorous ad that didn't hire him.
He wanted to coach at LSU bad.

Florida and that miserable 58-3 arse-kicking they put on the Tigers in 1993. There were maybe 10,000 fans left in the stadium in the 4th Quarter. They scored late and he tried to go for 2. Curley Hallman-----what a f*cking asshat!!

ACC Champion with Duke!
Seriously, almost single handedly turned the SEC from a power running conference into a modern passing offensive league.

12-15 years ago, I'd have told you the horrific, revenge-fueled (my opinion) beatings he gave LSU throughout the 90's and early 2000s.
Now? I never thought I'd say it- but he's become somewhat of a "favorite uncle"-type figure.
As much as I loathed the ground he walked on back them, I find him one of the more entertaining figures in college football, today.

Not to diminish the job he has in SC, I will remember him for UF, and all of the 50 point drubbings he gave us.

If he stays at South Carolina for 3 more years after this season, he would of coached there longer then he did at UF. Crazy to think about.
