All SEC campuses have something unique about them. What captures a recruit is the coaches, the schools success in sending players to the NFL, the overall programs success (and recent), and how their experience goes on campus. Auburn has a really pretty campus connected to the downtown. My experience there, everything is in walking distance and almost every street has a very attracting store or restaurant to it. Alabama and Georgia's campuses are beautiful and fairly large. Lots of redevelopment going on both campuses. New retail stores are coming on LSU's campus last I heard near the stadium. The most attractable thing to me IMO is how much stuff there is to do on campus or around.

Yep. Some kids like the school to be more like a city, some like it to be more like a town.
Rarely will the decision come down to that factor though.

Auburn does have the community college feeling. Take away the stadium and there you go.

Florida-didn't get to see as much as I'd like, so can't elaborate much on it. couldn't believe how shitty the O'connoll center looked
Won't be that way much longer, the O'Dome is getting completely renovated.

It comes down to...do u have a chic-fil-a or do u not have a chic-fil-a on campus?

I agree.
Auburn's campus is like....
When Bama's campus is like....
Dont get me wrong, a 2009 Kia Amanti is a decent car... its just not in the same class as a Bentley. Auburn is a nice little town though...

I have been/driven through a few. Athens is the best, Fayettville is like a mini Athens. Baton Rouge doesn't even feel like a college town, plus a lot of ghetto and crazy traffic. Starkville looks like a regular southern town. College Station is fricking hot as hell and flat.

Perfect, we have 3 of those.

Bama, LSU, UGA and Ole Miss have the nicest campuses in the SEC.
SCAR has modern mixed in with old traditional more so than any other campus.
SCAR has the #1 Greek Village.
SCAR's campus and the football stadium are almost exactly 1 mile apart ... so a lot of visiting fans do not take the time to actually tour our beautiful campus ... but recruits do and they love it.
There is more building going-on right now on the SCAR campus than on any other campus in the SEC or ACC.

You just compared your campus' most iconic building to our women's basketball gym (and it really is a nice gym).

Depends on the caliber of the recruit.
If they're looking for a 3 years and on to the NFL deal, then LSU or a similar NFL factory is the right answer.
If they're actually interested in getting a diploma, well LSU is second only to Vandy in terms of graduation rates.
Tough to argue against LSU here.

I wasnt really impressed at all with Auburns campus. The town of Auburn is pretty nice but the campus is not on the same level as Bama's.

Isn't Auburn still pretty much a campus surrounded by sprawling trailer parks?

The heart of LSU is great, but drive one block pas the Northgates or past Bogies and your opinion of LSU and BR in general take a nasty dive. Baton Rouge has a higher murder rate than Chicago. Huge recruiting tool.
There is no part of this statement that is correct. One block outside of campus and you're in the middle of the Northgates shopping and entertainment area.
And the crime rate, which is still higher than it should be, has dropped each of the last three years. And in any case, is centered around north Baton Rouge, well away from the LSU campus.
I know you were peeved about the comments about your campus, but that doesn't condone making shite like this up.

So most Auburn student's don't live in the surrounding trailer parks anymore?
