You gotta get out more man. SEC campuse are beautiful, and the women are gorgeous.

Yes, it has an effect on a recruit. Not only the overall campus atmosphere but the athletic facilities, the ladies, the academic support, etc. In today's cut-throat recruiting battles, you have to have the total package to get the top talent to campus.

I've heard recruits say they like LSU and Arkansas because they can't get an offer from A&M and they are still only one state over from the great State of Texas.

OM rates the highest in the SEC every time an unbiased publication does a list.

Georgia.

I must clarify. Thirty years ago, I would have named UGA the number one in the country. But changes--that had to happen--has dropped it some.

I belonged to the Georgia/South Carolina Editorial Writers Association for several years. I would always get up early and walk to Sanford.

Nothing like that walk in the early morning.

I agree. I wasn't that impressed with the campus that much but the town is pretty nice. I went there on a 3 day invitation only recruiting camp and I got to see most of the campus. I was only comparing it to UGA though, since that was the only other campus I had seen.

from my experience

Alabama

Ole Miss
LSU-highest ceiling with our unique architecture, but we have more out of date facilities than above

auburn-very impressed, lots of new facilities thrown up

UGA-Athens is my favorite trip (not even close, really), but honestly I wasn't impressed by the campus
Florida-didn't get to see as much as I'd like, so can't elaborate much on it. couldn't believe how shitty the O'connoll center looked

Arkansas-could be way higher on my list if it had some uniformity. very modern, but the architecture is all over the place. will probably be an ugly campus in 10 years at the rate they're throwing up the overly modern buildings

Texas A&M-definitely had some nice patches, but they weren't enough to overshadow mother Russia's soviet image

It's been killing us on the crootin trail.

FYI recruits GAF about the football stadium, weight rooms and players lounges. They DGAF about some ancient building named after some former slave owner

It's not all about the campus itself. For example, UT has it's pretty parts, but as a whole it's not on the level of bama, lsu, etc. but we make up for it with our incredible facilities, our football atmosphere, huge stadium by the river, views of the smokeys, incredibly hot girls etc. Every campus has a certain feel to it that makes it unique. If it was all about the pure beauty of campus, we'd never break the top 25 in recruiting.

I agree and the architecture is just kind of bland--it kind of reminded me of the community college near my hometown. There is one nice building and the others just kind of suck. The campus sits on the side of a hill and there arent many trees. I dont remember there being a sorority row either. The town was pretty nice though...

Not going to lie, never realized our campus was on a hill guys.

Dare I ask what the one nice building is?
