Later, when it came out that it was Rudolph, some of us started hiking every weekend to see if we could find that dude.

I remember there were Wanted signs for him at all the trail heads. And everybody had stories of how the shady dude that camped near them was Rudolph. It was fever pitch hysteria. And he was suppose to be the ultimate backwoods survivalist badass living off the land, eating wild game raw because cooking fires might give him away, and leading the federales on chess-master wild goose chases....

Then, it turned out he was just a regular bum sleeping under a bridge sneaking into town at night to eat out of garbage dumpsters.

Look, I'm no Bush fan. In fact, I think he was a horrible president. He played crony politics out the wazoo, funneled tax dollars to his Wall Street and banking buddies, created a lot of bad policy, expanded government regulation, infringed on our rights, and spent us in to crazy debt. But just to be clear, the whole "Bush lied and people died" crap the Democrats and media screamed until people believed it, was/is nothing more than bullshite propaganda.

Yes, we funded Saddam back in the 80's. We got him to power. The American military industrial complex seated dictators and powerful jihadist leaders all over the ME on both the Sunni and Shia sides since the early 70's, all for the purpose of creating conflicts and wars so our establishment politicians could take our tax dollars and award government contracts to their friends, who would in turn give some of that money right back to these same establishment politicians via non-profits and super PAC's. It's blatant theft of our tax dollars. I know.

But setting aside the reasons for it all, the fact still remains, there were conflicts and wars going on and terrorists were getting wealthy and well equipped. We were stabbing guys like Bin Laden and Saddam in the back and throwing them under the bus every day over there. And they were getting pissed and funding terrorists even more. The threats from them were very real. The jihad was reaching 1st world countries on an exponentially growing scale.

And they DID have WMD's and they were/are still a threat to us. You can sit here and try to deny it, but you're just being ignorant. There's more than enough proof. Documents confirming large quantities of sarin, VX, mustard, etc. there's also proof of Saddam's attempts to manufacture nuclear weapons.

Read this so you can stop being ignorant, and make sure you click on some of the dozens and dozens of links to supporting evidence. LINK

Anybody else remember this deal and where you were when it went down?

My oldest was a junior at UGA and was at Centennial Park that night with friends. They left about 20 minutes before the bomb went off. She heard about it on the radio driving back to Athens and called me on her car phone to let me know she was OK.
