I've just caught up with the story about the poster who attempted suicide. I assume it is real and not a troll and, if so, a big thanks to the posters who took the post seriously and lept into action.

Depression is real and hard to see out of sometimes.

Have seen those many times on various forums.

That was heart-warming and amazing. My cousin took his life in April. I just wish he had reached out to a group like this first. The Georgia posters did a great thing today.

If true, good job my UGA brothers and sisters.

And good luck to the individual. Depression ain't no joke. Get professional help as soon as possible (or if you can't afford it, I recommend beer).

Great job UGA fans
I was following that thread earlier and was very impressed how you all pulled together to help the guy.

I did a quick search on Google, it seemed there were a few boards he posted the same message on. Other boards jumped to action also. It's good to know compassion is alive and well. Even if it is only a cry for help, at least he's got a better chance of getting it now. I used to think about it, thought my life was terrible, and I'm so glad I had the support around me to help pull me through (and I really don't have shite to complain about, was just depressed).

UGA fans

Just went and scanned the thread. Nice job UGAers. Sometime people seek help in different ways. Kudos to all of you who stepped up for him.

Raising my glass to each of you.
You did a very good thing--your actions are a tribute to the character of UGA men and women.
Made me think of a few lyrics from one of my favorite songs, Hold us Together, by Matt Maher:

And I'll be my brother's keeper
So the whole world will know that we're not alone

Damn I just read that thread after seeing this one. That is just plain frickING AWESOME! Hats off to the the Georgia board for saving this kids life. Also, a big middle finger to the posters on the OT board that are lucky he didn't succeed because of their typical hateful trash. Some of them should be banned for life!

I'm very glad the thread was preserved so I could personally witness a collective group of strangers save a person's life today by taking selfless action. Truly amazing and inspirational.

For all the trolling that goes on here, good to see some good come out of this place.
