Im glad they took it as a serious threat. As all should be. Better safe than sorry. Good work to the posts who jumped into action quickly. Also thank you to Hugo for emailing Chicken, and Chicken for getting his location for the posters quickly. Great job all of you

Wow, just read this and the original thread. Way to go Dawgs! A small slice of humanity in a fairly inhumane message board. I'm glad to see there are still real people behind those keyboards and I hope the classless individuals who trolled the threads are banned.
I probably live pretty close to the guy, I wonder if it would be inappropriate to reach out to him? Anyone know how old he is?

Awful situation but truly great to see all these posters come together and help someone out. Hope everything is still going well.

Great song. I doubt many other people on the rant listen to him, but Matt Maher is my jam. It was so awesome to see all of the Dawgs bond together today.
Matt Maher is outstanding. Great performer and a better songwriter. Played at my church back in Atlanta a few times.

Dude just stop. You don't know shite about mental illness.
Thing is, he doesn't even have to know anything about mental illness to be thankful for what y'all did for his family and friends.

Exactly. I would say most have never truly been low enough to even seriously consider doing something like that, but I guarantee no one makes that decision lightly. Couple that with mental illness and it becomes a really sad situation. Good to see most people on here have shown a lot of empathy and understand that he reached a point in his life where he truly felt that he was alone and could not go on. Great job by everyone to intervene and let him know that he is not alone, even if it's a bunch of strangers. As for the handful of the idiots, you should be ashamed of yourselves for your actions in mocking and shaming someone that was so desperate. Hopefully, you will be shown more compassion at your worst than you have been willing to show.
Great job by Chicken, Jefferson, et al for jumping into action. Makes me proud to be a Dawg, but more importantly I am proud that so many were willing to do what it took to save the life of a complete stranger. It does restore faith in fellow man. As for houndstooth, please ignore his inane comments. Hopefully, he can find some empathy and compassion.

I just happened to glance at y'all's board yesterday when he first made the thread. I thought it was a sick joke, until ya'll found the other threads. I'm glad y'all were able to lend a helping hand. Nice to see you can still rely on people these days.

Yeah I read that whole thread yesterday big time respect for the Georgia board!
Pisses me off too that the OT was making light of the situation.
