Is he right or wrong?

He said, "every time."

Well obviously he's wrong in the EVERY TIME part. Speaking in extremes is typically unwise.

He should be striving for both.
I've found that definitives like "every time," "always," and "never" rarely apply.
Most coaches can prob think of a time when a player's experience beat talent; and another time when a player's talent was his defining asset.

Not that it's relevant to this thread but I get the idea that Boom is in the early stages of a major mental breakdown

Yeah..

Give me the incoming true freshman QB who is extremely talented over a returning 2-3 year starter at QB.

If the returning QB sucked, he would have never started 2-3 years.

Eh, what kind of talent?

It's working for Calipari in Basketball, but he has the best of the best.

Florida has had "good" classes but not the "best of the best".

I think he's 1/2 right, the problem is in football if you lose a couple of games early that's your season, in basketball you can rebound in the Tourny.

Can't agree. Talented frick-offs suck, waste time and scholarships, and give you bad press. Unless you're Auburn.

OK ladies, before you get your skirts all in a twist, he was specifically talking about the DEFENSIVE SECONDARY.

A place where, despite all the hate you can pour on, he is well known for being a great coach and churning out awesome players every place he's ever been.

I'll defer to his judgement on that one.

Man. That Florida player that blocked his team mate in that loss to Georgia Southern really proves his point.

So he's conceded that GSU was more talented?

And I'll take a proven hc over a coordinator every time.
