Sounds like you don't have very much left to finish. Could you do it with online classes?

Thanks for your service. You are as much of an alum as any player we have that's left early for the draft.

If he has a job he's happy with, why bother finishing his degree?

It was an obligatory casty because he didn't finish.

I was being supportive. There is always a reason to finish up a college degree. Would they pay him more? better opportunities?

Just lookin out for my boy Hardy.

BTW Har: Thanks for your service.

Recently, economists have said for the most part degrees are a waste of money.

Try living in South Louisiana

you have retards pushing things around on rigs making six figures. It's depressing being in school sometimes.

Go make that oil field cash. The problem is most don't save their money, then their body is shot to shite at 35.

A lot of them still live at home and buy jacked up trucks and boats and never build up credit or property or anything of lasting value. Plus, we get to bang their women when they're offshore. I mean not me, but you could imagine what'd it be like.

I have a lot of friends with jobs that don't require college degrees even though they have them. So in reality, their degree was a waste

The best thing that ever happened to me was the gulf oil field bust in the early 80's. I was well-logging for Schlumberger at the time. It was awesome money, but really hard work. When the rig count went down to about 40, they sent me back to school at my full base pay. (Grad student at MSU making $40K per year in the 80's.)

When I finished my Masters, Schlumberger told me to go back to Houma, and I said I would rather go back to Berkeley instead. So, goodbye oil rigs, hello Silicon Valley. I couldn't have gone there at a better time.

Allyn got that early Apple stock.

ETA: Plus making 40k in the early 80's would basically be like making 100k right now. Which is crazy...I can't imagine having that much money as a college student. Allyn must have been throwing around money like crazy.

It is doable, but until I turn 45 and retire it won't make me a dime more. I am currently putting money up to back myself in a small LLC to do (run small crews) commercial / residental electrical upon retirement, but yes I should finish College pretty soon.. It needs to be done.

I was born and raised in Starkville and my father retired from the Extension service with his Doctorate so the pressure is there, trust me.
