LSU always seems to need a true freshman DB to step up and play a pivotal role.

White/Robinson, Mills, Mathieu, Claiborne (I think, not 100% sure) Peterson all played huge roles. Then some guys played smaller roles, but still important ones at some point.

Usually it's not out of desperate need, but the guy is just too talented to keep off the field. (Mills was an exception as Mathieu's loss combined with attrition made him a necessity). Someone will be too damn good to keep on the sideline this year, just not sure who yet.

Auburn will have a FR at Punter and Kicker(RS). The rest that play will mainly be for depth on Defense.

We'll depend on freshmen at WR and depth in the back 7. And a we'll definitely have a Freshman kicker replacing Hocker. Possibly one on the O Line as well but that's only if he's better than the pretty decent incumbent.

I believe that someone will be Paris and Adams. Both will be to good to keep off of the field.

Jimmy Hutchinson was a Freshman last year, I think he will be the punter. Also Daniel Carlson, a RS Freshman will be the kicker.

True Freshman - No Starters, but some will rise up.. Tre Williams and Roc Thomas come to mind.

It's college football. Even the best teams sometimes have to rely on freshmen.

In some cases, it's not a bad thing.

Whats that saying? Expect a loss for every freshman you start. Something like that. Not always true but holds some water.

With the really good players only sticking around for 2 or 3 years now, it has kind of forced you to play more freshmen.

True. Skill positions can often be manned by freshmen and it works-out OK some times.

But if you are dependent on freshmen in the trenches in the SEC ... that's not good.
