Your analogy is absurd.

Who fired the first shots in the Civil War?

That is your answer as to who was the aggressor.

Do you even know what Fort Sumter was?

It was a federal Customs house. There was no income tax yet back then, (Lincoln was the first to install that evil shite, btw) so in order to fund itself, the federal government had to confiscate revenue from the people of the states by collecting tariffs and duties on their imports at their ports.

So, when South Carolina left the U.S. and joined a new confederacy, what you had was a foreign government (ie the United States government) keeping a tax-collecting depot on another country’s soil actively trying to extort money from any ship entering this other country’s harbor.

This is an act of aggression, shithead. An act of war.

If the Chinese sailed to Boston harbor today and started collecting fees from any ship entering the port, the U.S. government would fire on them in a heartbeat. And justifiably so.

Beyond that, the Confederates tried diligently to work with the feds to peacefully come up with ways to re-imburse them for forts, customs houses, military installations still on confederate soil, including Ft. Sumter. But Lincoln refused to meet with Southern diplomats to discuss the subject. He claimed the Southern states were still his. And that he had a right to collect taxes from them.

Also, let’s not forget that not a single person was killed during the firing on Ft. Sumter. And that they were warned to abandon the fort for weeks leading up to it.

Honestly, I am ashamed that people like you live on Georgia soil.

How can something exist, if has never been born?

If it doesn’t exist, then what is the doctor/executioner removing from a woman during an abortion/murder? What is that squirming tiny entity that he throws in a bucket convulsing and gasping for life? What would that entity have become if it wasn’t murdered?

Seriously, take your shallow and regurgitated propaganda bullet-points and stick them up your arse……..

Jeff, you're spitting some serious truth lately.

Quick question though, do you think it's a good or bad thing that the South lost the war?

Has a fetus ever been born? If you say yes, then you admit that it is a human being. If you say no, then how does it exist and what are you aborting?

Well, then, how can someone be charged with a double murder if they kill a pregnant woman?

I'm curious...what other ridiculous justifications do you use to somehow wrap your head around the fact that you support the killing of infants....more times than not for no other reason than convenience?

when you include the Japanese on this list are you referring to the internment camp atrocity or WWII in general?

It was the atom bomb that brought the Japanese to mind. And how the USA is the only country ever in history to drop nuclear bombs on another country.

And how the bombs weren’t dropped on Japanese military installations or troops or anything like that…….., but were strategically dropped on two heavily-populated cities……………with the explicit intent of killing every woman, child, infant, old person, invalid, and everyone else inside them…….which it did… to the tune of more than 200,000 people killed.

Makes me think of September 11th. And the horror of the death and destruction we witnessed. And the disgust at how the terrorists took their frustrations at the actions of our government out on innocent civilians. That’s total cowardice and evil personified, right there.

Something like 2,000 innocent people were murdered that 9/11right? WHich was devastating. Yet, that’s only one one-hundredth of the number of people murdered at Nagasaki and Hiroshima in one day.

Quick Answer: A bad thing. A very bad thing. THat is the only possible answer to that question.

The COnfederates fought a just war of defense against the U.S. Just like the colonists had fought a just war of defense against the British a few years earlier.

ANd please don't tell me you're gonna throw some bullshite out there about how "we'd still have slavery today if the SOuth would have won".......or that "we'd all be speaking German today" if all of the U.S. hadn't entered the World Wars.........

Is it just me or is this board getting really deep lately? Holy shite, I come here to get away from this shite most of the time.

Also, it amazes me the beliefs some of y'all have. Not because I think they're crazy (which some of them are), but more so, it just surprises me when someone says something that I think would be the exact opposite of what I thought they would believe. I guess it's just hard to get a good read on message board persona.

That's right. Bury your heads in the sand and wait for the Bread and Circuses to come back around..........Nothing to see here Citizens!

Seriously. It's one fricking thread. With a very specific title and subject. Nobody is forcing you two to read it, and there are literally a zillion cat-gif threads elsewhere to go play in, if that's what you're in to..............Just sayin.

Not throwing any bull shite out, was just curious about your answer to the question. I think the 150 years that have passed since the civil war ended would have happened very differently had the US broken into 2 countries, and we'll never know if it would have been for the better or for the worse.

If you consider a bunch of white males arguing about the civil war and abortion deep, then yes. Otherwise, no. I am pretty sure the UGA board collectively has the lowest education levels and IQs on Sec rant, based upon the level of discourse in this thread, although to be fair to other posters Jefferson Dawg has been dragging the whole bunch down now for two years. What a moron.

Gotten to the point where it would be an honor to be banned from my own team's board.

So, you've been lurking and keeping a two year calendar, but you're only just now speaking up??

What exactly in this thread set you off and brought you out of lurk mode?

Would you like to challenge anything that's been said in this thread? Or is it easier just to call someone a moron, dismiss us as low IQ "white males", and then run off?

Typical chowder response from yet another underachiever.

Maybe you should just clip out paper dolls for the rest of your life.
