Personally, I wouldn't know how to root for a UGA bball team that was actually expected to do well. So this news sort of puts them back in my comfort zone.

Not necessarily, often players are charged with poss/w intent because they have numerous small baggies (which may be how they bought it). If that is the case there is a chance this could be reduced to a misd. and that would likely leave him with the standard 10%, 30% suspensions, etc...

very true. i got popped one time in HS with weed an d they tried to say I was selling it because I had 6 or 7 dimebags, but thats just how dude gave it to me. Hopefully, this is Morris' case as well.

I think he's probably done, too. Unfortunate for Fox. We really struggled without him at the beginning of last year.

What do y'all think the starting line up looks like if he's gone?
Obviously Mann will run the point and Gaines will still play the 2 guard. Will we start Forte, KPG or Parker as the other guard/forward. I'm assuming Nemi and Marcus will be the other forwards but I don't know if Fox would rather bring Nemi off the bench again.

I love Frazier, I really do but I just don't think he is ready to be a starter at this point. I think Maten will start for Morris.

he really came on strong at the end of the year. obviously his shooting improved greatly, but he also took care of the ball better than Mann. I still think they would play Mann at point, even in my lineup, about 50% of the time, but Mann turns it over a little too much for me.

I agree that Mann had too many turnovers, but he is a point guard. He won't be effective in any other position IMO. He is a play-maker and his size allows him to penetrate and make any play he wants in the paint. I just don't think Frazier could handle that responsibility on a regular basis.

Well like i said, I hope they split who brings the ball up 50/50. you're right, Mann has an advantage with his size against most other PG. I think I like Frazier's on ball defending more at the point than Mann's though

I love Frazier too but Mann is better. Great change of pace cause they play so differently, can play well together for stretches, but Mann is our pg. Just needs to continue to develop as a pg.
and Mann is one of our best defenders, just so big and athletic that he can matchup well. Frazier is a great pest and pressures the ball well but stronger guards can abuse him. In the SEC tourney game against Ole Miss he played great D but Summer just backed him down to the free throw line and shot over him, couldn't stop it.
And Maten wont take Morris minutes, they play separate positions. Forte/KPG/Parker are what would take his minutes, plus a little of Frazier and Mann playing together. It is a deep position for us which helps but Morris has huge upside and rebounds and defends his position so well with his size and athleticism. Hopefully he figures it out and gets to stay on the team. Even so he will miss some big, tough non conference games where we are trying to build a tournament resume. That is gonna be a challenge.

Defense will be that he wants to be sure he is getting what he bought for his own use. This will be pleased down to a misdemeanor.
