From Marietta it takes less time to get to Auburn than it does Athens.

Marietta to Athens is less than 80 miles.
Marietta to Auburn is more than 120 miles.

Are you telling me it takes you longer to drive 80 miles, than it is 120?

Athens is one of the shittiest places to travel to (transportation wise) in the SEC

Is this a joke? US Highway 441, US Highway 78, and soon to be Interstate 316 (Highway 316 from I-85) are all huge arteries that lead straight to Athens.

To be fair, it used to be absolutely awful. Traveling on 316 is much better than it once was.

Then you should know the people attending games aren't the yanks

The ones sitting in Ochem..those are more of your 'not from around here' types.

If everyone wouldn't all try to head east 3 hours before kickoff it wouldn't be a problem. I get to Athens at daylight so I don't worry about traffic on any road I take.

I'm just messing with you, although having Atlanta as your number 1 feeder certainly brings some regional diversity. We see it at AU too.

I don't even mean for games. In mid-late 2000s, before they fixed the 316 to 85 on ramp, it would back up for miles for no apparent reason.

Good school. They are making a lot of changes for the better. Improvements. Out of curiosity.....why did you transfer? I mean, I know Florida is a good school academically, but Kennesaw is not bad, either. was it worth paying out of state tuition, etc? Or are you from Florida?

Oh I gotcha. I don't think I ever traveled 85/316 much around that time.

Fortunately all the construction around Collins HIll and Buford Highway (SR 20) should be finished by the end of October. They need to close off some of the side roads that intersect 316 and divert/reroute those streets to the back side of Gwinnett Police HQ and Fence Road... it'll make things run a lot smoother even after the Collins HIll & Buford Highway overpasses.

ND wanted to play an SEC team but wanted an "under achieving" team. So who better than UGA.

Clemson x2 Boise st Arizona St Ok. State Colorado

You've also lost to Clemson last year, Boise St in 2011, Colorado in 2010, Oklahoma St in 2009, and Georgia Tech in 2008. That's only the last six years.

These weren't that great of teams (well except for Clemson).

Florida's only Achilles heel has been FSU in that time frame

Auburn has lost to Clemson twice and WVU once

Bama nor LSU have lost and OOC game in that span unless we are adding bowl games

South Carolina only lost to Clemson back in 08.

So like I said, y'all are the easiest top level SEC team to beat OOC. I'm not trying to flame, but Kelly knows that it's his easiest chance of winning against a top SEC school, and he can get into the fertile recruiting grounds of Georgia.

Boise was ranked #5.
But that wasn't the point. And Auburn fan said it was obvious we lost to good OOC teams. I was merely pointing out that they don't do so well either.

Are we forgetting all the others I pointed out? I mean...they did happen. In fact, Auburn seems to beat mainly cupcake OOC opponenets with an occasional good OOC team.

Well, bowl games are games and they are normally against OOC opponents, are they not? I counted the last 10 years, so you want to shorten the time frame to suit YOUR argument? I mean....6 years seems to be an odd cutoff point, don't you think?

And by the way. Since you inserted yourself into a conversation that did not involve you, shall we point out what a supposedly inferior Clemson team did to LSU in 2012? Penn St. in 2009?

While certainly LSU has had MUCH more success than Georgia has in the recent past, let's not pretend you are without losses to OOC teams, too.

Agreed. Anybody wants to make it anything other than this is simply trolling.

You should have just said this, and stopped. I mean, after all....we were good enough to beat LSU. maybe LSU would have been the easiest team for Notre Dame to beat.
