Ok. So LSU has no national championships in football? Just so we are clear.

Not NCAA National Championships, because there is no such thing in football. We have 2 BCS National Titles and an AP/UPI National Title.

It has nothing to do with Ole Miss. I will shine light on these fake National Titles wherever they are claimed.

I have started threads about it for Arky, Tennessee and Auburn in the past. Alabama's abuses have been well documented enough.

And we have a FWAA national title. Bigger programs than LSU like Alabama, Ohio State and Texas claim those titles as well.

FWAA is not a major selector and thus can't be used, on its own, to support an NC claim.

What makes an AP title anymore relevant than a FWAA back in the 50's and 60's? You can't pick one polls opinion and discount another's.

We'll use Ole Miss logic..we won the series @ Oxford, therefore we must be the better team regardless of the season's outcome!

Actually, I can. There are 2 major selectors and there are about 1,000 minor selectors. The FWAA holds no more weight than the Dunkel Index or something.

Ok. LSU didn't really win the national title in 2004. AP is bigger and better than the BCS. USC=national champion in 2004 so take your irrelevant banner down.

See how dumb that is?

And again, the NCAA disagrees with you. And since the NCAA is the governing body of college football, that carries some weight. You're losing this argument horribly.

You're thinking of 2003 but we finished #1 in the coaches poll, which is a major selector.

The final AP poll and BCS polls weren't released until 2004.

No, you are. It's tough to argue with you in a sense because you're so ill informed. The NCAA has never been involved in football national championships. What they put on their website is meaningless.

Until the advent of the BCS there were 2 polls, the AP and the UPI/Coaches poll. You have to have one of those two put you #1 to be have an NC claim. This is basic, college football 101 stuff.
