Seriously, what is with the media's love of Mike Riley? He's had one really good season (2006, 10-4), a couple of good seasons, and been okay otherwise, and his resume is basically a bunch of Sun and Las Vegas Bowls, yet he's always bandied about as this phenomenal coach. And spare me the "it's Oregon State" stuff - Dennis Erickson won 11 games and a Fiesta Bowl there.
And Cutcliffe? Lulz. That's a prisoner of the moment nod if I've ever seen one. He had Eli Manning and all he got out of it was a Cotton Bowl, and he's had a losing record every single year at Duke with the exception of last year.

These coaches were selected bec they put players in the NFL. Thati s why that stat is listed bythe names.

I'm biased obviously but I'm kind of offended that he appears to be the only active coach with a natty not on this list.
I get the perception surrounding him, "he inherited a stacked program", "he backed into his only national titles", but he's kept this train running for almost 10 years now.
I'm not biased and I fully agree Miles should be on this list.

Yes, Cutcliffe and Sumlin put way more players into the league than Miles has.

No surprise. That's what I'm talking about!

Cutcliffe is a solid coach but that is way too high. And whats with the auburn fan earlier claiming a SEC title for Malzahn as an assistant coach..

Bama has both superior talent and superior coaching, yet still cannot beat a good AU team.
What this tells me is bama doesn't have the balls to stand up to AU and bama is sorta AU's bitch.

Did they really refer to Mark as Mike and rank him higher than Spurrier?
Dantonio is a Gamecock BTW.
Snyder is one of the greatest college coaches to ever coach the game.
The numerical order of the list is a little out of whack but, overall, they've probably got the names right.

You actually believe that shite, too, don't you? What's funny is that head-to-head it's actually a pretty even argument, but AU has struggled to have consistent success against anybody not named Bama (which is further proof of the whole "Beating Bama is all that matters to AU" theory that many subscribe to).

Hell Miles should be top 2 then.

Say what you will about Miles, Richt, and Tuberville, but I'd take each of those guys before a lot of the coaches on this list.

NFL.com left off NFLU's coach? Yeah, that makes sense

Bama fans melting a lot lately

That is a great list. I also like the cutest team color combination list and coolest mascot list.

i'll go out on a limb and say cutcliffe is on there because of 1) peyton manning 2) eli manning 3) his record at duke last year

the fact that Miles has put as many guys in the NFL as anyone yet doesn't even crack the top 15 is pretty hilarious
