This. Though she is hotter than a firecracker, her accent was turrible. Irritating to those who know what someone from Memphis/Mississippi area sounds like.

Yep. I have no end of trouble understanding why Hollywood can never get someone to do a proper southern accent for the specific area of the country they're setting the movie in.
The lone exception is Jim Parsons' accent when playing Sheldon Cooper, a Texan, on The Big Bang Theory, which doesn't really count because Parsons is from Texas.
