For those that have been to Omaha?

Tickets are skyrocketing for the Sunday Virginia game.
Tried to use a connection with Athletic Foundation to get tickets, but their allotment is so small (500), I couldn't get two.
Stubhub starts at $170 right now.
Will the prices go down if I try to scalp near the stadium?
Thanks in advance!

If you are going to try and get a ticket from a scalper don't paint your face. It pretty much destroys any leverage you have. Just what I have learned.

They should be much cheaper outside the stadium. I don't imagine it'll be that difficult if you go searching.

I've been six times.
You can get tickets outside the gate for less than from any of the ticket brokers.
Know how to negotiate going-in.
It's the championship game, or now the championship series, where you had better plan ahead and start buying passes from eliminated teams' fans before they leave or sell to scalpers ... that's where it gets dicey.
You can wear whatever you want to wear, Ole Miss clothes or whatever, I've never had a problem with buying tickets outside the gate from whomever, especially fellow SEC fans.

I've been to the CWS 5 times, 4 @ the old Rosenblatt and once last year at the new TDAmeritrade Stadium.
I've never had my tickets when I departed Baton Rouge. I've always gotten tickets outside the stadium and they've always been reserved seats, no general admission. Also never paid more than face value.
Just make a little sign saying how many tickets you want to buy & hold it up outside the stadium. It always worked for me.

Not much there for your game yet but as it gets closer, there will be many more. You can bid and if there are a bunch, you can get them for almost face or maybe a little over. Can't remember how the transfer takes place. Seems like if you buy a ticket, it sends a bar code to your phone email and that is what they scan at the gate.
Check out the lottery but you have to be down there pretty early in the morning.
There are scalper tents down the first base line street but they have to be a certain distance from the property (1,500 ft maybe???). I heard people would hang around there until game time and get them at face or even less. I didn't do that though.
The other options folks listed probably work but I didn't do that.
Recomendation: Go the BLATT out past right field and across the street. We took that place over for the Finals. There might have been 10 UCLA fans there. Really good hamburgers and $5 16oz Bud Lights in aluminum cans.

Get standing room only outfield tickets and show up 5 hours before the game to stand in line. The outfield is the best place to experience TD Ameritrade and the CWS

500... That's it? That seems mighty low for a school allotment.

I feel sorry for someone if they pay over $100 to watch a baseball game
