The University of Louisiana is, obviously, the flagship university of the state of Louisiana.
ULSUA&M, BR is a great school, no doubt, but is not the flagship institution of their own state.

I have no idea what's going on. I'm assuming they're trying to piss us off by trying to convince us that LSU System is not the flagship of Louisiana.

Their basketball team made the tournament
Their football team hasn't lost to Alabama in three consecutive contests
Their baseball team is still playing baseball
They won the last bowl game they played in the State of Louisiana and in the Superdome
Their nickname is unique to Louisiana and not generic
Laffy > BR
Those are just a few reasons why.
