Why is a 41-38 regarded as the best game ever played?

Both teams amassed 550 plus yards and a game that both defenses showed up for the first quarter then shite the bed. Why are offensive shoot outs so exciting for people? It would seem you'd want a game where offense defense and special teams all have a decent game sorta like a 28-24 game or a 34-28 game (no shots fired, it really was a good game) shite, the 21-17 Alabama game or the LSU-Clemson game were exciting despite not being high scoring. I just don't get it at all. This Big-12/PAC-12 offensive mentality kills me.

Because you've been watching a Les Miles coached offense for the last decade.

Dude.
National Championship.
Two Heisman winners and a runner up.
USC vs. Texas
Rose Bowl in Pasadena
Both teams undefeated.
Last second win by the greatest QB to ever play the game. (College)
tDecline starts for USC soon after.

"The best game ever played" wasn't 34-28 on 11/30/13?

Given the stage, the stakes, and the talent on the field, you can't ask for a better game.
Sure "better" games have been played, but none at that stage with that spotlight.

Best game I've ever seen

As an Alabama fan, the 9-6 game in 2011 was the most intense game I have ever sat through. The way the defenses were playing you knew the first offense to make a big mistake would lose (Maze interception). I love defensive struggles because one big play by the offense can win it. You sit on pins during every snap wondering if this is the "one play". The high scoring games you don't care if the other team scores because you know you are fixing to answer when you get the ball back.

Not once, anywhere, in your title or post, did you tell us what fricking game you're talking about.
Quit trying to be some "ooooh I'm gonna be cryptic and make people guess and figure it out" shitehead and just tell us the game.

Oh that game? Well then that begs one very important question.
Why is this on the SEC Rant?

Best game I ever saw was 7 OT game...OM/Arky

Was that like 04ish?
I remember (I think...) there was a run of like 3 years in a row around 03ish that every season had some crazy long OT games.
OM/Arky, bama/ut, and I think there was another one in the west.
