I can see Florida being first in SEC.
Last will probably be Missouri. Damn Yankees

Missouri has some of the most liberal alcohol laws in the country.

With the Busch family being a donator to the university, I'm sure they would be all over pushing a situation where they would be the sole beer provider to the stadium.

Busch, Busch Lite, Busch Ice?

Sounds horrible.

It is probably an SEC rule but it's also a state law for us. No alcohol in state buildings but they get around that for Club and Suites because of a "lease".

It is a rule by conference and venue. So if it is an SEC event they don't sell but if you play a neutral site they may as long as the said site is not all SEC schools. Personally I am not a fan of selling any booze at sporting events as it seems to promote fights and people always seem to spill it on you.

With the money to be had it will probably happen in the SEC and it will be a sad day indeed. With the crazy fans in the conference already why throw gas on the fire. In a perfect world if it does come, they should at least limit sales or cut it off at halftime so folks can sober up to drive home. No matter what they should NEVER sell wine and if they did go to beer sales it would actually be cool if the prices were reasonable and it was a local brewery selling local product.

I think the past was not so much a gentleman's agreement as the cost of the insurance and the liability issues. Some drunk kid going over the side at a ball game would be a pretty ugly lawsuit, especially if they wound up being underage and bought beer from a state sponsored school. Huge PR disaster that is perceived to be acting in place of the parents when kids go off to school.

No. West Virginia sold it last year and I think Texas is going to start this year.

They've (UTex) already started at select events (softball, women's basketball); but I don't believe they've announced which fall sports will be included in sales.

I think they had in the past and I'm fairly certain they'd jump at the opportunity again.

How many are still around? Now they sold to InBev and the younger generations are off playing polo and such.

Which school would be the best guess to sell it first?

If it weren't for being the new guys, I would say Mizzou due to the heavy Anheuser Busch influence. We're already heavily sponsored by Busch and Bud Light.

And because of this. Time magazine ranks Missouri as best state to drink in

They were never as huge of supporters as they could have been, but they donated enough to name a few dorms at least. Not sure what the dynamic is now that the inbev deal happened.

Possibly, sucks you would get stuck with A-B products.

It would be more interesting to see what brands were picked up by each SEC school.

I could definitely see aTm as a LoneStar beer school.

UL Lafayette currently sells it at Cajun Field. I think LSU will definitely be first in the SEC (non-premium seats).
