Giant void in my heart where happiness should be :(

THE FLATS - True freshman running back Travis Custis and junior linebacker-turned-defensive end Jabari Hunt-Days will not play football for Georgia Tech this fall.
Custis is leaving Georgia Tech for at least the 2014-15 academic year to pursue academic and athletic opportunities at Georgia Military College.
Hunt-Days will not be eligible to participate against outside competition for the 2014 season because he does not meet NCAA eligibility standards. Hunt-Days, who was a starter at linebacker in 2012 and 2013, moved to defensive end in the spring. He has played in 27 career games, recording 129 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions.

Weren't those guys expected to be 2 of Tech's best players?

Tell me about the 2 members of the coaching staff who "left" last week outta the blue. Any scuttlebut?
Any connection to this?

I'm never getting excited about anything Tech athletics related again in the future. Custis was it. I dreamed a dream. Now it's gone. Tech has killed the dream I dreamed.

Get ready for another 7-5 campaign, but take heart, we will graduate all our players. So take *that* UGa!!! (Somehow, it is just not nearly as satisfying as was '3 in a row')

Nah.
Was a special teams coach and a recruiting coordinator guy that left... not much info.. Heard for "personal reasons"... I think the two didn't get along with CPJ maybe? .. that's just reading b/w the lines... I dunno
I was told it was not a NCAA issue, so that was a relief.

Holy shite, what did he think their record was going to be before this?! 4-8 on the way.

You could have a million arms and we'd still beat your arse.

I saw the espn special about this. Damn shame.

Maybe it's for the best. CPJ needs to get outta town anyway. This could help.

Custis & JHD would not have this problem at other schools & Mark Richt could not coach at Tech & I'm not gonna be surprised to see us kick arse this year.

Come on man...you know how this shite works...
Anything unfortunate or bad has to be portrayed in the worst possible light & lauded from the highest tower as your teams inevitable downfall...
FWIW...I think Donovan Wilson will surprise a lot of people. He's not explosive at all in space and doesn't have any of the lateral quickness of a guy like Custis, but he's one of those 3.95 GPA guys that CPJ use to have so much success with at Navy. He could use another year of calculus but that's not an option now. I think he'll be a viable option...
