Do you remember when A&M was beating LSU regularly in the early 90's? I sure do. The ags were in the national championship hunt on a regular basis.

It's not like we hadn't won a national championship the previous decade or anything.
We finished inside the Top 15 in the polls for much of the 1980s and 1990s. The years between 2000-2007 were a misnomer and we still had two 10-win seasons wedged into that period. In 2005 we were even in the national championship picture (albeit briefly).
