Surprised at Louisiana. Based on these boards you think it'd be around 90%.

Texas seems low too based on how much we boast, but 68% is near the top.

Ohio seems the lowest to me. Those frickers are annoying as shite about their state.

(Come at me TA)

2 of the 3 people that live in North Dakota have state pride. I wonder what pissed the other guy off?

We know it's kind of a shithole. The excitement on the board is that it appears we're slowly starting to make it to outhouse level and may reach indoor plumbing in a couple of decades.

I'm surprised (in a good way) that Alabama's isn't higher. Maybe people have more sense here than I give them credit for.

Texas, North Dakota, and Rhode Island are the ones that surprise me.

I figured Texas would be higher for obvious reasons. I figured North Dakota would be lower because people are always talking about how it's an arctic wasteland. Rhode Island is shocking at a mere 18% because it's a beautiful, quaint little state. I'm honestly shocked not only that its the lowest, but that it's low at all.

I'm legitimately surprised by Louisiana as well.

Because of our awesome economy there are a lot of non-native Texans. Something crazy like 5 million Califonians have moved here in the past decade and a thousand people had immigrated a day from the rest of the country. Once they start having kids, that number will return to its rightful place.

I don't understand the concept of state pride.

Pretty lame.

So basically everyone who lives in Louisiana hates it. Sounds about right.

You're damn straight I'm proud that we keep the SEC in a drunken stupor on Saturdays in the Fall.

Texans excluded I don't think I've met anyone in real life who's been proud to be from a particular state and I've never thought about things in those terms.

I'm thinkin they asked the sonsabitches we ran out of the state, I have not traveled the world but as far as the US I luv me some MO, good people, you get the seasonal changes in weather, good huntin and fishin, and we don't have all the east and west coast wackos, and if you fricks do move here you conform or you're out.

What the frick do Texans have to be proud of? Cowboy hats and boots, nut hugging jeans, rodeos, gay arse country music and the scenery looks like something fresh out of the dirty thirties. It's the absolute most godawful state to drive through and 95% of the state is a barren wasteland.

In addition, there are more backwards arse hicks in that backwards arse state than any of the three deep south states combined.

It's laughable to know there are morons who are proud of that shite. Sure, Austin is nice, but it's a microscopic dot compared to the rest of that shite hole of a state.

I like Alabama just fine, but there's plenty of other places that I would rather live. Definitely not "one of the best states to live in".
