Serious question not a flame at all, but why does auburn play 1's vs 2's in the spring game, I would think you would get a better picture of where you are with 1's vs. 1's imho.

Injuries. Plus Gus treats this game as a showcase for the fans. Wants to give them something entertaining to watch

LSU does it too and people use the spring game as gospel. However, what Auburn is doing to its #2 defense is ridiculous. That offense has definitely been elevated. On the opposite end though, Auburn has arse for WRs outside of Williams and Coates (Quay is acceptable), so the white team has no weapons. Snce I haven't watch this and only read, neither Barber, Grant, or CAP is on the white team so of course the first string D will "look" good.

I think their defense can be middle of the pack, but that is all they will need anyway.
