Front 7 is NASTY. Ragland impressed me a lot. I think he'll play a ton this year.

Yeah, I always a big Ragland fan, but it seemed like Reuben was gonna take the job. Today, Ragland showed good ability, moved well at almost 260lbs.

I think if Reub doesn't learn how to tackle properly, it's gonna be tough on him. Ragland and Reuben will both play significant, meaningful snaps this year.

Joe Medley ?@jmedley_star 7m
Saban: Last year, we acknowledged some issues, but that group didn't respond. This group always responds.

Indeed. Reuben needs to fix his head movement when he's going in for a tackle. It's causing him to not wrap up properly.

Jon Allen was very impressive, but so were Dj Pettway, Xzavier Dickson, and Tim Williams. We should be a lot better at setting the edge this season

Couple of thoughts:

-Cooper Bateman looked better than Blake Sims in all facets of the QB position.
-Front 7 on defense will be the best in the SEC.
-Our kicking game will be embarrassing this year and will most likely cost us a game.

Hopefully we will go for it on every forth down in our territory.I really dont understand how our placekickers can remain so horrible. These are highly rated guys in scholarship. Is there no one in campus who can kick a field goal?

The kicking game is downright depressing, and the best pass completions all day were by a guy throwing frisbees to a dog at halftime.

Seriously, I think it would have been a far more interesting game if Kiffin hadn't been saddled with Sims. Put Bateman on the crimson team and I think the offense would have looked a helluva lot better.
