Just speculating but probably sinus related. It is that time of year. I had to get a shot for them last week.

I reached 90+ mob votes yesterday, received the scarlett letter, and then received an immediate email from Nick stating that my mobbing had been reversed.

Even I was shocked!

That pissed off some of the fire breathers on TB.

Thanks, Nick!

I'm starting to warm up to the idea of Tim Floyd. I think I'd actually rather have a guy that I know wants to be there than a mercenary waiting for a bigger better job somewhere else. If we landed Marshall, how long would he stay at Mizzou? Would we be going through another coaching search in 3 years or less? I don't know this for certain, but I get the feeling that Floyd wants to be at Mizzou and would be there for quite a while.

No idea, but it would certainly be in a better position with Marshall at the helm after 3 years than it currently is. No real loser in that scenario IMO

Looking at the resume, you should probably ask the same about Floyd.

Floyd jumps around.

Floyd doesn't consistently make the tournament.

Floyd has never made it past the sweet 16.

Probably so. I guess I'm just starting to try and accept that we will not land Marshall. If we don't get Marshall, I suppose I'm good with Floyd.

Still an upgrade over what just left. Though that's not saying too much.

If Floyd is our best option, I take a shot on Fuller and save a million.

Somebody is going to take a shot on him. Might as well be us.

I hope to God this doesn't happen. I may just give up on MU basketball for good if Fuller is named coach.

There's no reason he couldn't stay here 20 years. Fan support, recruiting base, conference affiliation. It's all there. If he takes the job (and that's a huge IF) (huge) (huge), I think he views it as for the long haul. Maybe I'm a naive homer.

He could leave for a bigger money job if successful were he to take the job at Mizzou. Coach K, Petino, Bill D, Coach Cal all guys who could retire or jump to the NBA in the next few years.

Eh. This one doesn't bother me as much. He left Iowa State after 4 years to coach in the NBA. That's not a negative. If Reggie Bush doesn't happen, there's a strong possibility that Floyd is still at USC. So the hopping on his resume is explainable.

The Sweet 16 thing is more bothersome.

I doubt Duke would seriously consider him. And if he's making $2.7M at Mizzou, how much would they have to pay him to jump again. It's probably a poison pill to all those schools except Kentucky. And I don't see him fitting at UK. Maybe over analysis.

Sweet 16's at Mizzou would likely get him extensions and raises.

For 5 years. Then the fans would complain that he can't win the big one. And round and round we go.

I'm not giving up. But I think Fuller might be worse than Haith as a head coach.

Most of the blue bloods will likely hire from within their family. They have plenty of options within those coaching trees. Cal and Donavan have 10+ years ahead of them. Don't see either jumping to the NBA. They have job security and can make nearly as much, if not more, where they are.

Texas would probably be my biggest worry.
Indiana if Crean doesn't get things turned around in the next couple of years.
Syracuse only because I don't know who falls under Boeheim's tree.

They have an assistant in waiting.

Honestly, there's not a lot of openings which appear to be soon in the blue blood category.

Texas looks to be a preseason top 25. Well, like every year, I guess. Lol. So, I'd say Texas and Indiana are the two most probable openings. But I'd say Texas is probably 2 years out. And Indiana may be, too.
