Someone mentioned on Rivals that there has also been a threat at UNA

ETA: If you go to Southern Union, i would be cautious as well

I emailed my teacher about rescheduling my test. I neither want to be a victim of this threat nor thinking about being a victim of this threat while taking a test.

If he says no I am going to be pissed

While no immediate threat has been substantiated, police presence has and will be increased in and around the campus of Auburn University.

I don't think you are allowed to carry on campus even if you have a license. They will probably be searching people tomorrow so not exactly a great idea to carry tomorrow.
You can't at Auburn. I think you can at one of the Mississippi universities though.

Anyway, it's better to be safe than sorry. Stay at home tomorrow even if you have a test. If your professor is a bitch about it, you can take it up with the head of your college. "Not wanting to die" should be a legit excuse.

This is why I can't stand so many fricking people. Odds are this is some jackoff who thinks he's being funny. Some serious fricking bullshite if this is a prank. If not, someone needs a) serious mental help or b) to rot.

Teacher just sent a mass email saying the test is still on. #Awesome

Nothing makes you focus like thinking your flight or fight response is about to kick in

ETA: I hope my parents never hear about this. I will get texts about it for months asking if I am safe every night

You'll be fine. Get your professor to lock the doors maybe...just in case.

And stop procrastinating. Go study

Yeah I went ahead and told mine to lessen the panic. I know my mom was going to hear about it anyways.

My parents moved across the country and don't have too many up to date Auburn connections. Very realistic that they don't hear about it.

Little sister knows though

If you cancel class, the threat does not go away, it just moves to another day. Also, would start a string of these type events. The terrorist wins.

If you are found with a gun, they will assume you are the guy in the note.

Be careful, but never let the terrorist win.

FWIW, the cops were notified early this month when my buddy reported it. I would assume they have some damn good preparations around campus right now. I hope it was all just a joke.
