I have been writing on and off since since I was a freshman in high school. Over the years I wrote monthly published columns to aid my business, given stories as gifts, and created a series of stories about a mythical town to entertain people at church. I didn't start writing full-time until about a year ago. That's when I started writing these stories. In the last year or so, I've written 30 stories, and these 13 are the best. It seems like all my life was intended to end up in this place where I am now. Some of the stories were first bought and published elsewhere (I retain the rights). Because of those first sold stories, I have a book publishing deal on the table for my next book. Thanks for your kind words.

The book went live yesterday on Amazon and broke into the top 100,000 sellers
That's great. Congratulations!
quote:
The characters in these stories have lives that are messy and flawed. They are slices cut on a brittle edge, balancing wonder, joy, love and despair. They are the people who live down the street or right next door. Thirteen fictional tales shine a light on the crooked roads, the narrow passages and perhaps the paths not taken. Come take a look through the window and see them for yourself.
It sounds quite good. I love collections of short stories, they fit my attention span. I'll have to check it out.
Once again, well done on your accomplishment!

Funny little bio, man.
Congrats on the book and the early sales.
Noir genre in fiction or film is one of my favorite things, cool that you've got a crime noir novel in hoping.

Semo, follow your dream. I help a lot of local writers sharpen their stories. If I can help in any way, let me know. There's an email on my Amazon author page. Use it.

You have all been amazingly kind, thank you. I truly love what I'm doing, but it's much more meaningful when you can share it with others.

Congrats brother, sounds really interesting. Cracking top 100k on Amazon is a big deal considering the million upon millions of available titles.
Best of luck in new career. Hopefully this really takes off.
I wrote a book in my mid twenties and it was complete horse shite. Never again. Even my wife could not finish it.

Thank you. I'm hoping to be an overnight success after only 30 years.
I'm committed. I've received enough feedback from people and publications I respect that I think I have a shot, but of course I need the help of others to get there.

I'm currently writing a novel length story. Would you be willing to swap email addresses? I'd like to ask you questions about the post writing process - questions about the agent, editor, and publishing process.
Please let me know.
Respectfully,
