I thought the same thing when I read his comments about the offense putting up points. We had no trouble at all putting points on the board until our skill players started going down, but even then, we were still able to put up enough points to win (at least, I think so).

We shouldn't have to score 40 points a game to pull out wins by the skin of our teeth. I think it's funny that it was the offense that was his selling point on Louisville, though, not the program or the coaches or the players or history or anything else. When I hear the defensive coordinator saying that the best quality in a program is their offense, it makes me wonder about his faith in his ability to coach a defense.

This sums up the entire reason we are better off without him. Everything else is fluff, this is the nitty gritty.

Could not agree more. This is a HUGE red flag, the new DC is coming in and the reason he wanted to move is because of a prolific offense? Why isn't he moving because of defensive potential or something?

What hear when read between those lines is "I wanted to move here, to a less competitive conference and a team with an offensive guy as HC, because that offense will completely outclass the defenses in this conference and will more effectively cover my arse when my defenders don't have a clue what the frick they are supposed to be doing".

I'll be honest though, this comment from him really feels more like TG just stroking Petrino's ego more than trying to take a shot at Richt/Bobo/UGA. I really have to read into the comments to see the slight to UGA.
