Situation 2: Malzahn creates an unstoppable monster, is considered to be a coaching genius and receives numerous offers from other programs that may seem more desirable to him. He leaves. I am not that obsessed that if he left i would cry about it. I would still be a little upset.
Where would he go that would be more desirable to him ? It would have to be inside the SEC, because going to another league would be a step down.

Texas, Oklahoma, Florida State, USC, UCLA, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Arkansas ring a bell?

Texas
USC
Miami
Nebraska
Michigan
etc
Who knows what happens years down the road, but if Gus is consistent then basically any school with a multiple national championship past and a huge budget that wants to replicate SEC glory for themselves.

If things were to not work out for their present coaches there could be openings at USC, Texas, tOSU, Michigan, and Notre Dame over the next three years.
I like guys who stay at the schools where they can win big FWIW - Gus with Auburn makes the SEC a lot more interesting
