Even if there was, there still wouldn't be 8 teams.

The last time LSU won the SECw, SC won the SECe that same year in 2009.
LSU went to the Final Four in 2006. When is the last time South Carolina went to the Final Four?

Yep, and Wyoming won it all in 1943, I wonder how hard they hold onto that?

yes,if only teams had that rich tradition of South Carolina basketball.

So, the pinnacle of South Carolina basketball was beating Arkansas yesterday.
Must suck to suck
Must suck to suck

Yea, then they sucked their thumb when they lost the '70 ACC final and quit and wandered the earth for 22 yrs.

As happy as I was to see the Pigs shut down last night, it is good to know that these Cocky threads will be over by about 5 this afternoon.

Why would I be hurt?
My lifetime has brought me seeing my favorite basketball program win a national title, play for two titles, 3 final four trips and countless wins.
I'm ecstatic.

It has almost been 2 solid seasons since sec basketball did away with divisions and people still don't know.

It was a little more than that but okay.
All I know is this, 100% without a shadow of a doubt, if SC had been in the SEC back when Pete played for LSU, he probably wouldn't have come close to being the all-time points leader in the NCAA. But I guess its better to be lucky than good for LSU.
That's all I know though. For a fact.

I'm surprised baseball hasn't already followed suit. Especially since the SEC tourny seeds are based off of overall SEC record (except the #2 seed which is kind of dumb)

Nope.
*Ole Miss won a lot of games and made it far last year and should continue to contend. Maybe NIT.
*Arkansas has a lot of bb tradition and will be back.
*Bama has the resources to improve.
*And LSU not only loses only 1 or 2 players from this year's very young and talented roster, but has one of the top recruiting classes in the country coming in next year. Watch out.....
*Aub, A&M, and MSU - don't know, not sure but each has had some past success.

Huhhhh ????? WT everloving F does this even mean ????
In addition to playing an SEC schedule, LSU regularly played OOC heavyweights in Pete's years
(Marquette, Southern Cal, FSU, UCLA, NCSt, Arky, Memphis, Mizzou, etc.)
How in God's green earth would LSU playing a few games against South Carolina from '68-'70 have caused Pistol Pete's all-time 44.5 PPG scoring average to "not come close"? Are you high ???
And Pete accomplished this in THREE years, with NO 3 point line !!!!

They did manage to win some NCAA tourney games in the next two years. Have not won a tournament game since.
SC did have one of my fav players of all-time, Alex English

That the OP of this thread is a USCe fan, makes it hysterical..and not just merely funny.

You're quite mistaken. LSU made a profit in Men's Bball with Trent as the head coach.
