•Watched the offensive line for a good chunk of the first period. Cam Robinson and Brandon Greene each took turns working alongside the rest of the first group (LG Arie Kouandjio, C Ryan Kelly, RG Leon Brown, RT Austin Shepherd). The second group was LG Bradley Bozeman, C Paul Waldrop, RG Alphonse Taylor and RT Grant Hill.)
•CB Maurice Smith (concussion) appeared to be more active today than he was Friday. Smith did not participate in Saturday's scrimmage.
•Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano was watching practice from the sidelines today. He had his eyes focused on the defense. Schiano, a longtime coach at Rutgers, was fired after two seasons with the Bucs.
•Freshman QB David Cornwell was not sporting a brace on his surgically repaired knee. He wore it during Saturday's scrimmage.
•ESPN's Todd Blackledge was also seen at today's practice. He's handling the color commentary for Auburn's spring game. Alabama's broadcast team will include Dave Neal and Joey Galloway.
•Freshman CB Tony Brown continues to wear a noticeable brace on his injured left shoulder. It doesn't appear to be slowing him down, though, as he was fully active in drills we were able to watch.
•The first-team nickel defense hasn't changed. Bradley Sylve and Cyrus Jones were manning the corners, Jarrick Williams was at Star, Trey DePriest and Reggie Ragland were at LB and Landon Collins and Geno Smith were the safeties.

Drew D's practice report:
I took the parts that Alahunter had already mentioned out of his report. You can read his full practice report here
quote:
Observations from Tuesday’s practice:
Offense:
QBs: offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin and the quarterbacks showed a few new looks today. The new OC used the word “fullback” when referring to the group that included Jalston Fowler and Corey McCarron. The fullbacks ran routes out into the flats and stopping to catch passes. The running backs also worked with the quarterbacks for a period. They appeared to line up in a pistol set, and then sprint down the sideline, catching passes in stride on a wheel route.
Blake Sims threw to T.J. Yeldon, with pairs of Alec Morris and Kenyan Drake; Cooper Bateman and Altee Tenpenny; and Parker McLeod and Tyren Jones following.
RBs: Order: T.J. Yeldon, Derrick Henry, Kenyan Drake, Altee Tenpenny and Jalston Fowler led the fullbacks. Redshirt freshman Tyren Jones was behind both the other tailbacks and fullbacks. He was last in line for reps, not surprising since the word is the Georgia native must step up his classroom performance.
WRs: Kiffin has brought some new energy and enthusiasm to the offense. When the quarterbacks were working with the wide receivers, the new OC was up next to the receivers at the line, coaching each receiver and running with them for a few steps in their route. He seemed to be having fun with junior WR Amari Cooper, especially.
Defense:
DLs: DLs: Jarran Reed, Brandon Ivory and A’Shawn Robinson are the first group. Dalvin Tomlinson, Dakota Ball and D.J. Pettway are the twos. Sophomores Jonathan Allen, Korren Kirven and Dee Liner are the threes. Senior Anthony Orr is also working with the twos and threes.
LBs: Dillon Lee worked with the outside linebackers. With the inside linebackers Trey DePriest looked a bit slow today. The senior was in a regular practice jersey, but he looked limited a bit and sluggish. He did work with the nickel package during the second period (second group).
DBs: Second group in Nickel: Early Enrollee true freshman linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton was at linebacker alongside Dillon Lee.

I'm surprised Jonathan Allen is going with the threes. I had him pegged as a starter.

Some rumors that he is knicked up.

Based on the rosters, looks like CRob will be 1st string LT on A-day

Alex Scarborough just tweeted that Neither Drake nor Tenpenny were on the practice field today. I sure hope they haven't done anything stupid.

Drake and Tenpenny missed practice because they weren't doing what they were supposed to do in school. Saban sent them to a study table for four hours to work on school work.
Both will participate in A-Day

Christion Jones said Cooper beat Tony Brown in a race.

It sounds like coach plans on playing Cornwell since he said only Lake, White, and Jackson were the only players that weren't going to play. I'm surprised.

He can play at A-Day and still redshirt this season. All the Freshman QBs who enroll early play in the A-Day game unless they're hurt.

Yea, I just had doubts about his knee being healed well enough to play. I guess it is though. I'd like to see what he can do.
Posted on 4/17/14 at 7:56 pm to Cobrasize
Definitely wanna see where he's at with the knee. I imagine he won't play much, but I'd like to see him get a few throws down the field to see that arm.

Someone said that Cornwell did not wear his brace the last scrimmage.

Landon Collins sure has a lot to say to OU fans
