I think Duke will take some of the targets away from Coates, but with an off season to work on timing and routes, its possible. Another factor will be margin of victory this year.
Coates 750+ yards
Duke 925+ yards
Coates 750+ yards
Duke 925+ yards

quote:Sammie was not targeted like a usual #1 WR because we ran the ball so much. He caught 42 passes in 14 games. That's only 3 catches a game and ranked 188 in the nation in passes caught in 2013. Will he do that again? Yes if not more even if he is the #2 WR. They key with him is he was 3rd in the nation with a 21.5 YPC Avg. If he can duplicate that he will be near 1000. He had 900 in 2013.

I expect Dook to be the the #1 WR and have the most catches. If he only catches 1.5 more balls than Sammie per game in 14 or 15 games that's 63 to 68 catches in the season. That's doable IMO. With a doable 16 YPC Avg given his skills set you're looking at 945 to 1,088 yards receiving.
My bold prediction. AU throws off and Bar-b-ques the piggies in game 1 by having each Dook and Coates go over 100 receiving yards and a TD.
