you know, those of you who believe this is just now starting because CBB believe it is the only way he can win are being disingenuous. Go back to SEC media days, He claimed it was a safety and medical issue even then.
He actually believes this. Now, he may be wrong, IDK! He may be partially right, IDK, but he actually believe in this as a Coach.
He stated so before he ever coached a game in the coveted SEC.
I do not agree with his stance, I believe you should think enough of you abilities as a HC in the SEC to scheme, recruit, and plan to stop whatever the match throws at you. However, he actually thinks this.
If you truly believe in something, go for it, push it, do your best. If you fail, try again.
Using the death of another player during training drills, UGGGG! and yes, I am a Hog fan through and through.

I never said nor thought that.

Fair enough but considering Chip Kelly did this for awhile it would seem some evidence would emerge from Oregon games. The only thing people are asking for is "show some evidence besides 'cuz I think so'".

You people obviously don't get it? Ray Charles could see what is going on here. Quite obviously Bielema is just a patsy here. Saban is behind all of this. Saban realizes that he is causing Bama to take too much heat from the media and other fan bases out there. Saban knows he needs to do damage control. The plan is hatched. He holds a secret meeting with Bielame and tells him to push the agenda further. Saban promises to let Ar-kansas win their next match up if Bielame owns the anti-HUNH push. Little does Bret know that Saban plans to keep the score close until the 4th at which point he dials up the HUNH offense and blows the hogs out. Bret continues to look fat and dumb, Saban appears to have adapted to the game.
This is just great right here. I've been trolling some of these threads just kind of enjoying the melt, and this is the first time I have been inclined to post. Welcome on board sir!

Bielema, speaking to the media before a meeting of the White County Razorback Club on Thursday night, reiterated his stance that the proposal is safety-based — saying he wants to be proactive and make a change before presented with a player's "death certificate."
The only things dying are the Arkansas program and Bert's career.
Nice call by Fat alBert, btw...

The same was said about Mizzou and the drunk a year ago.

But you don't see Pinkel hiding behind the skirt of Saban trying to change the rules.
He's embraced reality and is adapting his personnel and philosophy within the SEC. Why not Bert?

Except that Pinkel had been successful at Mizzou already. Bert was successful with a program that was gift-wrapped and handed to him in perfect working order. Nobody know if he could build a program from the ground up. Now we know he can't. The guy's melting down.

Bret is fighting for something he believes in, whether it's popular or not. He's always been an outspoken proponent of player safety.
And he's currently rebuilding a roster that was in shambles, he doesn't need to adapt his philosophy.

Still. A team down by two scores with 3 mins left in the 4th quarter has to sit there and watch the clock run down
Yep, and then they kill kids the last two minutes and send them home in body bags for being so greedy as wanting to win the game.

We both know player safety is a red herring since there's no evidence of increased injury.
No, Bert and Mother Saban are desperately trying to hold onto 20th century football in a 21st century world.
Looking back on it, Sheldon Richardson was a prophet. Old men are gonna Old Man Football.

Honestly I don't care one way or the other if it passes but I'm starting to lean towards I hope it does just to watch the meltdown on here. It might be better than the beginning of ATPB.

You must have a different definition of "drama" than Webster and everyone else.
Rebutting the analogy between Pinkel and Bert's respective first years in the SEC by pointing out that Pinkel was merely adjusting a program he had already constructed a decade ago but Bert is attempting (so far without any success at all) to construct a program for the first time (whilst whining constantly) is simply a lesson in facts.
