You know what I find funny CNB? Is that every fan that has posted in here roots for a team that finished behind us in the polls. So perhaps before they ask themselves "on top of what?" they should look up, then they would see our asses.

To be honest we are not certain on this second longer timeout. The speculation seems to be an accumulation of things. I guess. Seems like an overreaction, but since we don't know we don't know.

And the subject should be how long can SC keep it up?

If longer than 4 hours, we need a doctor.

Spurrier is 68 years old and I don't think he has many coaching years left, maybe three. The big question is, who will be USCe's next coach?
They've had two national championship winning coaches come in (Holtz and Spurrier) that couldn't seal the deal.
I think the Gamecocks go back to medioctrity (ala Tennessee post-Fulmer) once Spurrier retires.

That is most definitely not the big question right now.
Its impossible to project what the coaching market will be like in the future. Pointless question that doesn't even need to be asked with Spurrier getting an extension for the second year in a row

Their pretty damn good right now. Probably finish top 20 this year recruiting and have some very good assistant coaches. They may not win many championships but 11 win seasons are pretty impressive.

True that. Considering they are still viewed as the little brother program to Clemson, nationally.

Hey, at least as a MSU fan you don't have to worry about going back to mediocrity. Ever.
