And have to be gently nudged to the side when the game has passed him by? Or will he go out Woody style with a punch to an Aubie player/coach?
I think Bowden/Brown and sooner than later.

The days of Bowden and Brown type coaches are gone forever. So there's no logic in your question, troll on though if that makes you feel like "the man"

Fathom that. Another Bama / Saban thread started by an LSU fan.

aTm fans better be glad we don't annoy the shite out of them about Franchione.

oh, and to put this into perspective, Franchione left Bama only two years earlier than Saban left LSU.

No. I thought maybe, but now with Coker transferring I doubt we ever win a Natty with a black QB.

I wish threads like this one would go the way of a jumper off the Golden Gate Bridge.

Yes, every great coach has a down period. I do think in the next 5 years Saban wins 1 more title at bama atleast. If tenn every comes back and auburn stays it becomes alot harder for bama.

The guy has an 11-win season coming off back-to-back championships and all of the sudden Mack Brown and Bowden comparisons are being drawn?

Nick Saban is a lot more than a good football coach dude. He shits greatness. He's the most relentless competitor in college football and one of the top two coaches of all time. The man isn't done yet trust me. Your post reeks of fear of Saban.

You can't really compare him to those guys. Brown won 1 NC in his career, Bowden 2 .
Saban has won 4 in what 11 years. Different breed.
I think he is in real trouble on the last 5-7 years of his career, maybe only 2-3 more NC. Poor guy just ain't much.

He chokes Malzahn during the handshake if they lose the Iron Bowl next year. He will be fired but hailed a hero by the Bama. Bama fans ala Bobby Knight fans bring their fan gear and leave them at the gates of Bryant Denny Stadium. Harvey Updyke in a fit of Auburn rage poisons every tree in Lee county ...thats how I see Saban going out

He has more titles than those two combined so there is that difference.

This November, the best thing about saying 4 in-a-row will be remembering the current streak started in New Orleans and ruined the greatest season of all time.

With the competitiveness of the SEC and with the upcoming play-off system (only 1 week to prepare if you make the championship game), he might not win another one...heck, it's hard enough to win 1 and he's got 4 as it is. Either way, I think he'll at least have Bama in the mix of making the final 4 most years...

Don't see him goin' the way of Bowden or Brown either. Both had several sub-par seasons while Saban's only had 1 at Bama (his first). Bowden won 2 titles but wasn't eased out till 'bout 10 years after his last one...and Brown won 1 and was gently shoved out the door 8 years later...

Don't think Saban will be coaching 8 or 10 years down the road...and I don't see him goin' out Woody style either...I'm guessin' he might take over as AD at Bama but, more likely, I see him maybe takin' a sportscasting job with ESPN...maybe sometime within the next 5 years...
