I guess it could, but I don't think so since he's a different sort of player.
I think Owens could look elsewhere, not that he's similar either but that depth chart may be tough for him. He's such a niche player that could cause some matchup problems with his size in the redzone but he'd be behind the other receivers in the rest if the field imo. Disclaimer: I haven't actually read anything to suggest that he's waivering recently, just think it could happen
