Actually I'm pretty sure he said almost the exact thing you just said at one point last year. It gets our brand name talked about during NFL football games and at other times when we wouldn't be mentioned normally.
While 5k may be small, we are basically being paid by Seattle for them to advertise our brand.

Hmmmm...that's a bit surprising. The best thing we have going for us on this is the faux outrage. It encourages students and former students to do the guerrilla marketing for us.
Btw, it's too damn expensive but how great would it be to see a Texas A&M 12th Man commercial during the SB!
