Ameer Abdullah declines to get specific on results of NFL draft advisory board. But "it was really high," he said.

We likely would've not gotten Mason late in 2011, so no complaining here, but Abdullah really wanted to come to AU. He has done really well for himself at Nebraska (1690 yds in 2013), coming in as the #36 ranked ATH by 247.

2011 was the Crowell/Blakely/Hart/Mason class.

Going to Nebraska and getting out of state was probably the best thing that happened to Abdullah

goes to show what a crapshoot recruiting can be sometimes... hart's got two bad knees... crowell got kicked out of school... blakely dropped out of school. Mason was ranked below all those guys.... same for abdullah.

abdullah would've probably made a heck of a safety, which is where we were recruiting him i think.

From what I was told, at the time, Tre had first offer. If Tre turned us down, Ameer was going to get the offer. It worked out well for everyone involved, IMO.

Best of luck to Ameer!

If it was Mason or Abdullah, Mason 10/10.

No regrets.
