All these sports reporters can say all they want about Saban. They lost that game b/c the they turned the ball over 4 times and it led to 28 pts. Even after the 21 pts given to OU in the first half it was a 7 point game with 5 min left.

Interesting.
Wonder if you, other LSU fans, or the Saban-loving media would say the same thing about Miles if LSU lost a game in similar fashion.
It is OK. You don't have to answer. I already know what would happen.

You mean like the Ole Miss game?

The bottom line is this...neither are great game day coaches...period! And Saban is a better recruited...and better at using young men for his reward...Miles is more genuine, but not as disciplined with players...but life goes on for the rest of us with a real personal life...jmho

Curious who you think is a good game day coach?
Sorry but Saban is one of the best.
ETA: I would argue that Miles is an incredible recruiter but below average game day coach.

Sometimes the truth is pretty edgy, I suppose.
Also, I'm all in with an non-SEC team winning this year.

You must be all SLU fan.
I'm firmly against letting the NC go outside the SEC.

It keeps the SEC mystique. Right now we have teams that can go through conference play with one loss and still be considered a better team than a no loss Big 10 or 12 team. I always cheer for SEC teams over non conf teams. Just my thinking.

I can't fricking stand Saban. If Miles retired, I seriously wouldn't want Saban back if he were willing to work for free. I also can't fricking stand Belichick.
I've seen both get out coached on occasion on game day.
But, to argue that Saban isn't vastly better than most of his peers at being what a college coach needs to be in order to win is just silly.
There isn't a great coach in this history of any sport whose resume includes 100% game day coaching superiority.

I agree with everything but taking Saban back. I see what Texas is going through and would hate to get stuck with a suspect coach. Don't know much about Strong (if he is going to be the UT coach)

That's because they almost always are. I don't think the mystique angle is legitimate or much of a factor. I just think that FSU is clearly better than Auburn this year, and I won't be disappointed at all FSU wins.

UL has had the benefit of hilariously easy schedules and have been far better talent wise than pretty much every team that walked on the field with them. Yet, they couldn't even lay the wood to all of those teams.

Posted by ApexTiger FSU is going to throttle the Aubies this year They have a bad defense...and will get exposed FSU is a complete team...NFL talent all over the field, depth, well coached, mobile and confident QB=spells disaster for the Aubies.. IF FSU doesn't choke or turn it over, this game won't be close...

I said he was the greatest recruiter of all time. A monkey could win hardware with the talent he has to work with

this is true. the only way auburn wins is to score every possession and to pull out their rabbits foot again.
