Its a huge factor because SEC can say 8 NC in a row. The year that is over people will say SEC isn't that good. They are equal to all the other conferences and next time a one loss SEC teams is up against an undefeated or one loss Big 10 or 12 they won't get the automatic nod.
I agree FSU is the better team this year but will be pulling AU. Hope we're both wrong.

Rick Reilly is a Dick and so is Saban

Really Reilly, it’s your ESPN cohorts who continuously brag about the SEC. Write your column against them. Is Saban a Dick, sure he is. He threw his team under the bus never once giving credit to Trevor Knight or Stoops.

Watch this a-hole Reilly make sure he’s given props for his prescient twitter account, oh, Reilly, go frick yourself

The SEC does not ACT in any way. It is a conference, and not an animate object.

I don't see this being AS big a factor with the BCS going away. I do completely see your point, but see losing one occasionally as a mere hiccup more than a complete loss of perceived dominance.

Saban has the typical "we beat ourselves" because we missed assignments speak. Sometimes the opponents work hard, study, scheme, prepare etc.

The bottom line is this...neither are great game day coaches...period! And Saban is a better recruited...and better at using young men for his reward...Miles is more genuine, but not as disciplined with players...but life goes on for the rest of us with a real personal life...jmho

I pretty much agree with you here

The problem is that our fans have come up with this idea that Saban is the only coach we can compare Les to, and its just putting Saban on a pedastal and creating unrealistic expectations for our program

Sorry Saban is a helluva coach recruiting and gameday. Anyone who thinks he isn't is living in a dream world.

Wonder if you, other LSU fans, or the Saban-loving media would say the same thing about Miles if LSU lost a game in similar fashion.

We lost to Ole Miss for the same reason. You can't turn the ball over and beat a decent team.

What an ignorant idiot, but he has always been an idiot.

It is easy for the media to second guess decisions in the press.

But the same buffoons never question the refs bad calls, for the most part.

Did odummy question all the no calls vs Auburn like the helmet to helmet or players blocking down field or the 12 OBVIOUS holding calls missed vs Bama?

Or OU not getting called for a hold around the neck or a pass interference on the first interception or the no call on a punk taking his helmet off?

As for as dumb coaches go, Les Miles has a lock on that trophy.
