Does anyone else remember going to Georgia games and the entire stadium crowd sang the Star Spangled Banner before the game? Even at the young age of 18 I would get chills and feel proud when I heard that.
I think they stopped that in the mid 70s.

I remember going to UGA games when they played Dixie. Brought the crowd to their feet with a huge roar.

Yep, and not just at UGA but at many events. It's quite ironic. Our nation became less patriotic and more suspicious of government in general in the aftermath of the Vietnman War. Then during the Bush years and the Iraq War many became boldly vehement/nasty in their anti-government protests. Flash forward and the Obama admin has purged any semblance of patriotism yet he offers government as the solution to all problems and the sheep bleat and follow.
