Either way, I really don't see the dominance ending any time soon. The SEC is still hauling in the vast majority of top recruits. Traditional bottom-feeders like Vandy and even UK are improving (at different rates of course). The biggest threat in the near future would be that the SEC really does take such a toll on itself through conference play that every team has 2 losses. Then we might miss the playoff completely.

Anyone saying that FSU winning changes that the SEC is the dominant conference is being silly. The South won battles in the Civil War. Germany won battles in the world wars. Hell, FRANCE won a battle or two then ended up getting owned. The point is that 1 victory in 8 years means you won a battle, but you can't claim the war or even being in control of the war.

I guess I'm just in awe of the machine and coming to grips with how utterly powerful it's become. Those salaries are massive. These are CEOs plain and simple. I just wondered how unprecedented this was and what could potentially stop it.
