Wow ok, so we have a pretty much 100% against my choice of Heisman.
But what you're saying is he doesn't deserve the award then wtf is he even nominated when all of you have already decided Winston is the winner?
This is why the award is so fricked up. You have 1 award worth anything for all the great players in college football... literally thousands of players vying for one award. Forget that only ONE defensive player has ever won. That alone should show there needs to be a Heisman for offense and defense.
Go ahead and tell all the other guys that its already decided. Just sit there and look happy for Winston when he wins. If it's my vote, I'm voting McCarron and some coaches will vote for him too. Now go call those guys idiots.

Do we all get a vote?
I just assumed AJ was "in the running" to honor his achievements at Bama over his career, with the understanding that he really isn't going to get it over others like Winston.
There is a vote, but I'm sure the voters see what most of us have seen. Winston is the one playing for a MNC and he's the one who is an obvious standout on his team with a stellar performance this season. AJ, while a good QB, has not done (by himself) what Winston has done. The other nominees have been standouts, as well.
AJ has suffered (or prospered, depending on the context) from being another cog in the Saban machine. He has been flanked by big names his entire career there, so it is easy for him to get missed or to not be recognized for what he has done. He just isn't a dominant, one-man force in college football like other Heisman winners have been.

Pretty sure they got the memo already...
I don't get why you think the Heisman is a credible award, it has been a crock of shite for years.
When Jason White (OU QB) won over Larry Fitzgerald in 2003 they shed the small amount of credibility that the award had left.

Winston is the runaway winner without a doubt... The thing that aggravates me is that there's 3 SEC players outta the five invited to NY & 1 of them isn't AM. He & A.J. should both be there just to highlight what they've done over the last 4 years. JMO...

That's our opinion. Doesn't mean you have to change yours.

Just because most on here believe it should go to a certain player does not mean that they should not give it to a player. MOST years there is a clear cut favorite, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't give the award, does it?

And that's fine. Everybody has an opinion, and they have a right to their opinion.

Ok. They're idiots. What's next? Pat White should have won the Heisman for being a great QB for West Virginia and leading their program to unprecedented heights (and by the way, White did more for WVU than McCarron did for Alabama)? No. The Heisman is the most outstanding player in a given SEASON, not for having a good career.
How many times has Alabama asked McCarron to put the team on his back and win a game? I can think of one, and that is aTm this season. FSU returned the same roster as last season except for losing EJ Manuel in the first round of last year's draft and replaced him with Winston. Compare last year's FSU team to this year's FSU team and the only huge difference is QB, where Winston is much, much better than Manuel. McCarron is a caretaker while Winston is a playmaker.
