CFB is a zero sum game. Every "great program" that "should win" can't. It's Richt syndrome. To a much lesser extent, it's what Les has to deal with.
All of that said, fire Muschamp. Injuries or not, you need to burn that shite down and start over fresh. Georgia Southern is a team full of kids that Paul Johnson didn't think were good enough to run the triple option on the practice squad. UF 4th stringers should beat Georgia Southern. UF 4th stringers should be able to stop the run when they know it's coming.

Is Muschamp the Florida version of Fran? Stolen from a CFB power school, he comes in and shits the bed despite all the resources available to succeed. He probably set the Florida program back 5 years, unlike the 10 years Fran set us back.

Great comparison. Never looked at it that way. The exception is that Fran had head coaching experience, could get along with people, work a room, etc. like a true executive should be able to. MuskRat can only criticize fans and media as well as call himself dumb for punching a chalkboard. It has been out in the open that his assistants are quote "miserable" working for him.

I am convinced that when Mack Brown "steps down," Muschamp is going to appear in Austin as though nothing happened after he was named Mack's successor.

Florida has had four top 5-10 classes in a row.
This is what makes this year mind boggling with those resources imo
Well...just as a reference point...Richt was on razorthin edge of being fired after a 6-7 season just a few short years ago at UGA...guess what? He had one of his better recruiting hauls after that. Recruits know they can see the field immediately.
All the recruits in the world don't help though when you are down to around 45 healthy not suspended scholly players...we had walk on LB playing a lot of snaps against GSU along with true frosh etc etc...we were down six linebackers and that's hard to recover from.

"Yes he was. And, ironically, there are calls to bring former OC under Zook back ... Larry Fedora."
Link? who is making this call? Just making stuff up?
I hear calls to bring back Steve Spurrier, I am sure he would leave USCe if we asked.

I know you're a UF fan, so this may be hard to comprehend, but the SEC has been playing football since the early 1930's. During that time, UF has, in fact, rarely been better than Bama or LSU.

I hope he stays for a long time!

Man that reminds me of one of the lineman on the electric football set I had in the fourth grade.
If you forgot to leave him out of your offensive lineup, he would swoop a 360 and blow up your running play.
