Our defense let us down in that game, but CMR called a good one.

Foo, I don't want to get into banter with one of my favorite DGD's on this board but since you brought it up, yea, an ultra talented defense let us down big time in that game. And no, that's not directly on Coach Richt but he did hire Grantham and Grantham sorely underachieved considering all the talent we had on that 2012 defense including as you say we got owned by Bama's running game. What kills me is it might be another 10 years before the opportunity arises again.

Even though I don't know how much say the head coach has in hiring the coordinators, I wouldn't mind putting CTG's hire on CMR. I'll just say that I thought CTG was an impressive get at the time he joined Dawg Nation, and many others did, too. I don't blame CMR for hiring CTG (if he was responsible for it), but I would blame him if he didn't get rid of him soon (if he has the authority). CTG has been a major disappointment so far and I would need to see some miraculous change in our defense in order to change my opinion of him.

You are right. It might be. but if you check Richt's record, it probably won't be. he consistently puts us into position to win. He did last year. Injuries hurt us this year, or we would be right there, and I am willing to bet we will be next year.
