I don't want to hear about DJ at all.
Not my favorite player in any sense of the word.

This. Fluker threads should be on an indefinite hold

I have nothing against Fluker. I'm pretty sure we've had multiple players who we all know and love take money while they were at Alabama under Saban's watch. I highly doubt Fluker is an isolated case.

Don't make excuses for people's shortcomings. If he did what was alleged then he deserves no praise for any of his accomplishments.

I understand the rules are awful; however DJ is still responsible for his actions.

frick that. God for DJ. The school made millions of dollars off his back and he found a way to cash in on it. He broke a STUPID rule that probably wont be a rule in ten years.

DJ agreed before he came to UA that he wasn't going to do what the NCAA prohibited. He broke his word, and now I'm supposed to feel sorry for him?
DJ lied to each and every UA and NCAA official assuming he took agent cash and said he didn't.
Frick, that.

Pretty much every first round player takes money from runners or agents prior to declaring. Fluker lived in a fricking car with five other people. What do you expect him to do?
Luther Davis can get fricked.

Well it's definitely isolated to players that have tweeted about it. If he never made that tweet would Yahoo writers start digging?
Either he's dumb, or didn't care about shitting on his alma mater. I would like to think it's just him being dumb.

Yes. They are not related.

People tend to forget this when they talk from their "Oh, they're getting a free education!" soap box. A lot of these kids are dirt poor and free education, though awesome, does not help their family's situation in the here and now. They love their family and want to see that they are taken care of. So it's only natural that they accept extra benefits.
And to those who say they only have to wait three years for everything to be okay. Screw you. That's never a guarantee. They could get injured, their family's situation could get worse. And they sit there and see their families struggle while their alma maters makes millions upon millions of dollars off what they do every single Saturday.
But they're getting a free education so it all balances out.

I could accept this better if the money they were taking wasn't going to $100+ shoes, Chargers, Dr Dre's, etc and actually going to these hard pressed families.*
*not commenting on DJ here directly, just your generalized statement.

Rules are rules. Fluker owes me nothing, but he's an arse if he put his fellow teammates, school, and coach in jeopardy.
