Pretty much every first round player takes money from runners or agents prior to declaring. Fluker lived in a fricking car with five other people. What do you expect him to do?

I expect him to live up to what he said he would do by signing his NCAA paperwork.

Whether or not some people break the rules is irrelevant to the things DJ and luther agreed to by signing the ncaa paperwork.

I want Dj to be honest, and if he did take money I would prefer him to be reviled. He put so many awesome accomplishments into jeopardy for himself.

I can't stand the whole needy argument, needy doesn't mean you can do whatever you want because you were once homeless.

Yes. They are not related.

You really believe that? Look, I don't blame him for taking money. You wave a couple of stacks in front of a kid that's never seen a couple of hundred and it's impossible. Just don't tweet about it.

frick that. Good for DJ. The school made millions of dollars off his back and he found a way to cash in on it. He broke a STUPID rule that probably wont be a rule in ten years.

This times a billion. I would take every cent people threw my way.

I still have a hard time believing he's the one that actually tweeted that...the night before the draft...using grammar and slang completely different from his other tweets.

Who cares? We're gonna get off free and Fluker is cool. Or do you really believe he did something wrong by being poor?

Don't make excuses for people's shortcomings. If he did what was alleged then he deserves no praise for any of his accomplishments.

Look at all of you jackasses turning on someone so easily. I guarantee you a lot of starters right now are setup in one way or another.

Should Julio and Mark be shunned too? What about Dareus? Or Barron? I believe Barron was mentioned in that report with Fluker.

There is no doubt that players do take "benefits" when no one is watching. The school can't watch everyone 24/7. Not possible. So an agent calls them in the summer and wants to take then to New Orleans and get them laid who's gonna say no? Few hundred bucks spending money? Why not?

The problem comes later. Story I once heard about I guy who got himself a new girl friend. To make himself look like a big man he told her about how he had killed his ex-girl friend and the cops had no clue as to who committed the crime. Unfortunately, as relationships go the new girl friend eventually became the new ex-girl friend. Remembering his story she became afraid that the same would happen to her so she went to the cops. He is now serving life without parole.

So the lesson here little children is that if you break the rules/law KEEP YOUR DAMN MOUTH SHUT!!!

A little update about the current college player involved in this mess.

Stewart Mandel ?@slmandel
One of the players connected to Luther Davis. RT @Vol_Football: The NCAA has declared Maurice Couch permanently ineligible. UT will appeal.
